A little help getting settled.

Vowfolio buyer installation and recovery guide

Use Vowfolio in your browser or install it on your home screen. Sign in with your verified email address to return to your shared wedding.

One $45 USD base-price purchase is for one wedding, up to two partner accounts, and three registered app installations per email account (up to six total). Taxes are determined by merchant checkout. It is not $45 for each installation. A license does not expire when the wedding date passes; archive and reopen this same wedding without another payment. This is an installable PWA, not an IPA/APK or an app-store download.

Use the purchase email and receipt license key at /activate. Email ownership must be verified with a code entered in the app. A checkout redirect alone is not activation. Never send a license key in a public URL or screenshot.

On iPhone/iPad, open the seller's HTTPS link in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, use the available Install app prompt or the browser menu. Installed icon behavior depends on the OS; changing a theme may require removing the shortcut and installing again. Removing a shortcut does not delete your wedding or account. Browser mode is also supported and occupies an installation slot.

Registered installations are not provably physical devices. A different browser profile may occupy another slot. Clearing site storage can lose the proof for an old slot. Sign in for device management, deliberately release your old slot, then register the current installation. Do not silently evict another person. The purchaser can replace a lost slot after fresh email verification and explicit confirmation.

You may plan solo. Each partner chooses their own role label. Names and roles never determine permissions or gender. Joint/side ownership organizes records; shared, side-private, and creator-private visibility controls access. The purchaser has no private-content bypass. Previously downloaded or cached data cannot reliably be recalled.

Initial activation, joining, sync, guest RSVP, email and push need internet. Offline caching is optional, off by default and stores wedding data on this device. It is not end-to-end encryption. Financial posting requires a server acknowledgement. An offline draft is not a recorded payment.

Contact picking is available only where the browser supports it. Do not expect universal iPhone phonebook access. CSV, XLSX, vCard, paste and manual entry are available alternatives. Push needs browser/OS support, installation where required and permission. It is not a guaranteed alarm. Denying contacts or notifications must not block planning.

The software records wedding finances; it does not move money, hold gifts, store card details or book vendors. A copied message or opened external compose window is not proof of delivery.

We offer a full refund within 14 days without limiting your statutory rights, and 90 days’ notice before a planned service closure.

Guest greetings are optional for each household and disabled by default. In RSVP tools, select a household and explicitly enable its plain-text greeting form. Its invitation holders must consent before submitting. They cannot see any other greetings. Review pending submissions in RSVP tools (also linked from Greetings), then approve into your shared gallery or reject and remove the submitted text. Unreviewed text expires after 30 days. This public form accepts no files; add permitted attachments yourself after approval. A received confirmation means queued for your review, not publication or proof of notification delivery.

Browser-offered installation

The installation page includes a three-step illustrated guide. In Safari, Share may appear inside the Page Menu depending on your toolbar layout. Select Add to Home Screen and enable Open as Web App if your browser offers it, then Add. On a supported browser, an additional installation button appears only when that browser has offered a usable installation prompt. Choosing it opens the browser's own confirmation; dismissal leaves browser mode available. An accepted request is not a guarantee that the OS created or refreshed an icon. Opening an icon and registering the application installation slot are separate steps.

Notification permission settings

If permission was denied, the app will not repeatedly prompt. On Android, open Chrome > Settings > Site settings > Notifications, select this site and allow notifications. Also check that Android allows Chrome notifications. For an installed iPhone web app, open Settings > Notifications > Vowfolio and enable Allow Notifications. Menu labels may vary by system version. The in-app inbox and optional email remain alternatives. Permission and provider acceptance do not prove device delivery.

Check notification delivery on your own device before relying on reminders.
